Auron resort

Resort location between sea and mountain

Auron is a welcoming resort with good technical skiing, so it is a great choice for a holiday with friends or family. With almost as many restaurants located in the resort as there are at altitude, it is easy to sample some of the local speciality cuisine. For nights out, choose from several bars and a nightclub. Family-friendly action throughout the winter includes: ice skating, spending the night in an igloo, snowmobiling, skijoring, snowshoeing, etc. Culture-wise, Auron boasts several sites worth visiting, such as the Maison du Parc and the St Saint-Érige chapel.

Ski area

Auron’s ski terrain is spread across four different sectors (Las Donnas, Sauma Longue, Demandols and Lieuson) totalling more than 135 km of pistes. There are also wooded runs to enjoy a different skiing experience as you admire the spectacular panoramic views over the valley. Since more than half of the ski area is equipped with snow cannons, great snow coverage is guaranteed throughout the winter. The Pinatelle cable car whisks you up to Europe’s highest mountain pass: Col de la Bonette.
